Training & Outreach

The Training and Outreach program focuses on providing training and technical assistance to victim service providers across the state of Utah. Quarterly, they host a one-day training called SWAVO (Statewide Advocates for Victims Organization). The program also provides one of the trauma-informed 40-hour victim assistance academies to certify advocates to work with victims of crime.

They give presentations on various topics all throughout the state. They are available to attend community events, table to bring awareness, and educate the community.

This team is actively participating in various committees and subcommittees that impact victim services and works to improve systems for victims/survivors, and providers.
