How UOVC Serves Utah

UOVC works in three primary ways to ensure victims of crime receive timely, compassionate, and effective support.

Victim Compensation & Direct Advocacy

We provide financial assistance to eligible victims of crime to help cover expenses like medical care, counseling, lost wages, funeral costs, and other financial needs. Our victim advocacy team helps individuals understand their options, connect with resources, and support them in their healing.

Grants Administration

UOVC administers state and federal funding that supports victim service providers across Utah. These funds make it possible for organizations statewide to offer vital services to victims of crime and their families.

Training and Outreach

We train and support victim service providers and criminal justice professionals across Utah. We also connect partners statewide and help communities understand the work of the Utah Office for Victims of Crime. This helps improve services and create a stronger response for victims of crime.
