Changes at UOVC

April 30, 2024

Esteemed Colleagues:

I hope this message finds you well. I’m reaching out to share some news about recent changes at the Utah Office for Victims of Crime. Effective immediately, there has been a change in leadership within our organization. Gary Scheller, who previously held the position of UOVC Director, is no longer at our agency. Gary has been a tremendous leader and an ardent advocate for victim rights, and we honor the countless contributions he has made during his time at UOVC. His presence will be deeply missed, and we are forever grateful for the positive impact he has had on our organization and the community.

In the meantime, I have been designed as the Interim Director. As we move forward, I am committed to maintaining the high standards of excellence that Gary has set and ensuring a smooth transition for our team and our partners. Our team remains dedicated to upholding the values and mission of the Utah Office for Victims of Crime. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns about this transition. Your ongoing support is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with you.

Tallie Viteri
